Gassie Ink collaborates with artistes on new single
Reggae singer and producer Gassie joined forces with Little Kirk, Robertha, Ras Oneily, and Pehtrol to record an inspirational new single titled God Bless The Children.
"This song was inspired by memories of my childhood days and all the love and support I got from my elders as I grew up. Things were different in those days because people used to look out for other people's children. Growing up, it seemed like every adult was my auntie or uncle, but things are different. The concept that it takes a village to raise a child is no longer upheld in society. We've become so cold and individualistic. This has to change; we must strive to be better as a people and have to start by treating our children better," said the artiste. The song, which Gassie Ink produced, was released on his Gassie Ink Records imprint on July 24.
"I wrote this originally for me and Little Kirk to record it, but after the artistes in my camp and some of my associates heard it, they expressed an interest in being a part of the project. So, I decided to collaborate with them and Little Kirk on the project, and I am happy I did because this song is getting a lot of support from DJs all over the world," he said.
The Kingston-born singer and producer is also preparing to release a new reggae rhythm project titled 'Street Warrior'.
"This project features some beautiful songs from Turbulence, Lutan Fyah, Robertha, Torch and me. I'm very excited about it and I am confident that it will be warmly received by music lovers worldwide when it's released later this year."
